The contract is tendered for the construction of a new passenger building, an underpass between platforms at the railway station and a footbridge over the Metro line Valencia • These actions are attached to those made for processing Station Vara de Quart in a modal interchange
The contract, amounting to EUR 3,630,826.3 (U.S.), aims fundamental integration of rail and metro, through integrated action at both stations. The deadline for execution of work is 8 months.
The advent of high speed to the city of Valencia became necessary as a preliminary step, the existence of a modal interchange for the lines C-3 and C-4 suburban, middle-distance trains that link to Utiel and Basin and the Valencia Metro. The works currently being bid are added to those made in connection with the creation of the San Isidro Valencia station and processing station Vara de Quart in a modal interchange connection, amounting to 6.3 million euros.
Description of works
The key activities to be performed in the modal interchange San Isidro Valencia are:
• Construction of a new passenger building.
• Creation of an underpass between platforms and expanded them in the catchment area of \u200b\u200bthe underpass.
• Construction of a footbridge on the Valencia metro line to permit the passage between the platforms of the subway station, its access, staircase and lift, and the new railway station building.
• Extension of the platforms of the Valencia Metro station to facilitate connecting passengers.
• Renewal of switches and crossings.
• Development of modal interchange environment consisting of both stations. European funding
Within the Community Support Framework 2000-2006, the total aid granted by the European Union's new High Speed \u200b\u200bLine Madrid-Castilla La Mancha-Valencia-Murcia region reached EUR 575 million euros from the Cohesion Fund, 125 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and 48 million euros from TEN-T funds.
For 2007-2013, the Cohesion Fund within the Cohesion Fund Operational Programme 2007-2013 ERDF co-part of the online platform with 726 million euros.
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Operational Programme of Valencia 2007-2013 stretch platform co-Limit Elche Murcia and the installation of track and facilities Xativa-Valencia tranche of 160 million euros. Also, Operational Programmes of Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia 2007-2013 and 2007-2013 co-financed by various sections of the platform and the supply and installation of track and facilities for an amount of 249 euros and 68 million respectively.
The European Investment Bank also participates in the financing of the High Speed \u200b\u200bLine Madrid-Castilla La Mancha-Valencia-Murcia.
